This takes about 10 minutes to build up pressure, why would that be?
Brand new machine, Starts on the button, idles smooth...

Feeding direct from ibc outlet with 1" hose I think it is.

Does it return to the ibc on by-pass? (picture of the pump would be handy)

No return as far as I can see, however don't have machine to hand.
We've got it on demo, and the instructions are as good as useless.
Once it builds up, it fine, but seems to tick over for a long period, then suddenly picks up the revs and we are in action.
If you rev it manually, it makes no difference, it seemingly has to do it itself.

Sounds like it's stuck in by pass...but thats only a rough guess!
Depending on what sort of unloader it has fitted. Some unloaders are fllow sensitive ie they need to have a certain amount of water running through them before the switch from by pass. (ie when you pull the trigger on the lance) .
After it has built up pressure and you switch it off can you disconnect the lance easily without pulling the trigger (ie releasing the pressure in the line)
On something like that machine there are so many reasons it might do this. Flow switches,unloader,auto throttle control......Are you running extra long hoses or anything out of the norm or is it how the manufacturer designed it?
Can you not just send it back?

We are running 50m hose.

I will take a pic and fire it off tomorrow.
I don't think there's anything wrong with it, as it's brand new, but we've got it for another week or so, and just wanted to check if there's something simple I am missing or doing wrong.

Try a shorter hose to begin with 10m max. You should be able to run longer but 10m a good starting point.

I worked with Huw at Seers on a job, a while ago, he had one back then.
My honest opinion - buy something else.
For your money you can get a better bit of kit!

If you pull the trigger while its "building up pressure" does it pressurize quicker?
Sometimes when there is air in the feed hose, if you pull the trigger it gets rid of the air quicker and builds up pressure faster as a result. Are you removing the feed hose from the IBC after use? This could cause air to be getting in when you reconnect it.
