what would best method to remove dye from crepe paper on 80/20 wool and nylon carpet

It all depends on the dye used to colour the paper. It may even flush out with normal detergent. If not the Solvex may remove it. Dyegone may also remove it as a last resort.

Used to get these quite often back in the 80's & 90's, fortunately very few & far between these days, as I've still not found anything that will shift it.

If you get some green crepe paper and rub it into the stain, it will neautralise the red. ;)

Are you au fait with colour mixing Paul??  Your suggestion will only be fine on a brown carpet ;) ;)
