Haven't spoken to you in a while.

Are you well, looking forward to the big man, in the big red suit coming down your chimney?

Where have you been?  Did you get the blaster going...are you any good with it ?
You should do the pressure washing coarse you had the idea about. I think between a few of the forum members you could gather enough info ,tips and tricks to make it viable.
Thanks for the christmas dinner invite but we have turkey and stuffing pot noodles and a prawn ring form poundland.

The prices in the hotel were daft.

Starters, mains and a pudding - sticky rice with mango, for two - less than £20.00.

What do you think of Boom Boom?

Some of the men are stunning if your that way inclined. They are better presented than most British women.  I have had plenty good nights out with them...watching the tourist chatting them up!  But that is as far as it goes for me....there are plenty of real Thai women ;D
Thai food is the best in the world...you just have to watch them for the chilli's. I like it hot but some of the salads blow you away...bit like your new friend. The fish is still flapping when it hits the plate and the use of fruit and meat in a single dish sounds bad but once you try it theres no going back.
The street vendors all sell sticky rice and fried chicken on little motorbikes...must be their fast food..KFC.

It is by a long way the best holiday I have had. Normally by about day ten/eleven I am thinking of coming home. Didn't want to leave this time!!

Had some interesting little critters from the vendors, drew the line at maggots!

In Bangla Road there were some strange looking western men, who were obviously there for the  'girls'

There was some stunners but I had got Boom Boom by then and I have never been fussy!

I would have loved to have seen them the next day, when they realised what they had got themselves into!!!

Did you go up to the Budda on the mountain?
Title: Re: Hello Christopher
Post by: Rob_Mac on December 20, 2013, 08:10:44 pm
I did.

We got blessed by the monk and got a little bracelet tied on the wrist by him.

My missus came away and said - does that make me a buddha now - I think she meant buddhist!

That is one very big buddha, taking their time with it though!

When did you go?

Chris

If you can get a similar look I wont be nasty to you, though I suspect you may already look not too different!!!

The Farrow System had a knackered diaphragm in the water pump, split in two places. We had also taken a non return valve off the tank because it was leaking, when we first used it, not thinking that it was relevant.

It turns out the non return stopped media going through the pipework, that is 1/8 inch, so got clogged up.

I was sold some glass media as well that was course and it was too heavy, this is what we ended forcing through all the pipework.

Had a nightmare trying to find someone to resolve the issues.

There is only one person i'm aware of that knows Farrow systems, phoned loads of people up in blasting to repair but nobody could.

Met up with a guy called Tom in Hull, bit of trial & error and he sorted it at very reasonable rates, just a long old day getting to Hull and back.

I probably know as much about the system and repairing it as he does now.

Got some spares for just in case and have a tonne of coarse glass for sale - you could use it for diamantes when you try to impersonate Boom Boom for me!!!!

No mate

I managed to download a problem solving document, 8 pager but that doesn't come close to mentioning water pump etc and the obvious numpty factor!!!

It seems the Farrow agent, another Nigel has stopped supplying & assisting, bought out I think or ill health

That's the guy Chris - Tom. He's part of the Ashrose Group as well, although that isn't what it seems to be.

I thought it was Hull, close enough

Genuinely nice guy, can't do enough to help out!

A lot like yourself ;)

Where you off to David? It is pretty amazing, I was there this time last year before flying over to Sydney.
Title: Re: Hello Christopher

Dave

I always go, every year, at this time to an all inclusive resort in the Caribbean.

I wanted something different this time and decided B & B at a nice resort was worth the try.

Because of where our hotel was, about an hour from Patong & 20 minutes from Phuket my wife was concerned that it would be too quiet. I think she thinks she is young and happening!!

I knew it was all about the eating out in the tiny roadside & beach restaurants and couldn't wait to get there.

The hotel was superb, we originally booked the one that got hit by the Tsunami, the JW Marriott in Khao Lak but changed it because my wife is like that!

We had the best of both worlds, quiet in the day, virtually deserted beach and if we wanted busy we could get a taxi to Patong etc. The taxi drivers will wait for you and take you back to the hotel, agree a price first though.

The best eating I have ever had.

I did eat Thai every morning for breakfast and every night. If you don't eat in the hotel you will get a three course meal, for two, for about £25.00. In the hotel you will be paying £50.00.

Our hotel had a brilliant restaurant, above the pool, the best meal of the stay.

Worth every penny, get out and see the sights Dave.

As Neil has asked, where are you staying?

Rob ;D

Me and my wife are flying straight to Phuket for 6 nights, then fly to ko Samui for 6 nights then bankok for 2 nights we have booked the banthai hotel in Phuket, the Nora beach resort in ko samui and shanghai mansion in bankok
My step son goes every year and loves it, and after the very hard and sad 6 months that we have had we decided to get away just hope the weather is good
Title: Re: Hello Christopher
Post by: Rob_Mac on December 22, 2013, 08:18:58 pm
The weather was mixed for us but should be improved for yourself. Just come out of their wet season. We had a massive downpour (never seen the like!) and it rained 6 days out of 14 but only a couple of minutes to an hour at a time.

The rain never bothered, how could it, sat on a sunbed, getting burnt through the rain ;)

We looked at Koh Samui but the flight is a monster and I didn't want the additional flying.

Are you on the Dreamliner from Gatwick?

Hope you have a good time!

Rob ;D

With all that market bullsh** that manufactures/suppliers come  out with ,it's hard to know who to believe.

That rules me out  then . I am a bit of a muppet who learns by his mistakes....but I bet I could make a better job of it than your man. Kevin did you train him yourself?

Do you not apply the Enrich n seal product till saturation  and then remove the excess and allow to cure?
