Title: awkward customer
Post by: dazmond on December 19, 2013, 05:52:27 pm
This guy lives in a house with no access to rear apart from over the flat roof.it's on very compact estate work.I clean the houses either side as well which are also a pain.anyhow he has a garage which I can go through to reach his and neighbours backs.

Last month his wife opened the garage for me as my ribs were sore so I just told him I'm not climbing over anymore.

I'll clean just fronts if not in.

He basically said no!he wants me to carry on climbing over.I said he will have to get another window cleaner as I've had it with up and over jobs.

I've been cleaning his windows for 15 years!anyway he slammed the door in my face! ::)roll

I went and knocked about an hour later and said I can put him in touch with a trad windy who can clean em and do the neighbours either side at the same time.

He turned round and said I CAN SORT IT MYSELF!

F##K him!

Glad to get rid to be honest! ;D

He's obviously not concerned about your safety. I wouldn't be too bothered about his windows.  ;)

When I went WFP after illness forced me to stop working I binned every customer that had flat roofs that needed going up and over that I use to do trad and didn't look back. Any new customers with flat roofs I don't take on full stop if I cant reach window over flat roof or unless they are prepared to do themselves. Only use ladders for access on commercial, won't back down on domestic work.

How unprofessional, egg his house or push bamboo into key hole. Drop and find 3 more like him. Its just to much.

You serious Smithie? "How unprofessional"
What do you mean then -  do you consider childish acts of malicious revenge as "Professional?"
