Title: scudo dispatch expert or partner or berlingo?
Post by: windiewasher on December 16, 2013, 03:34:25 pm
Im looking at getting a new van.want to get a newer van but wondering if anyone had got any of the above new shape ones?
I have a 01 scudo its ok but not great but handy as I need 3 seats and will still need 3 seats so if I get a berlingo or partner it will be a 3 seater too.

I've got 08 expert and it's ace.
650 lay flat and setup as 2 man.

Get the 2.0hdi if possible, pulls like a train fully loaded.
£30 = 125 miles stop/start all day

Not all Partners & Berlingos are 3 seaters, in fact most of them are not.
I've got a 2 seater Partner and to be honest I think a 3 seater version would be so tight that it would be uncomfortable.
If you are a 2 man set-up you will be better off looking at Dispatch, Expert and Scudo.
Partners & Berlingos are fine for most one man operations though.

i too will be looking for a 3 seater after new year,   this is purelly for family use as well.      mrs + son,    when going out in summer time. 8) 8)    + doggy.  been looking at peugeot expert, berlingo.  not much local.

which is the best spec on a ford connect,    ive test driven a couple here but not impressed with performance,  £2999       may be best getting one already kitted out with wfp  set.up    plenty of time to go bigger,  im too used to my gardiners backpack at this moment.      bad enough with a small pole hose      cant imagine a 100 metre microbore.     ill have to ask some local experienced WFP   cleaners for a day out w=ith them.     ::)roll  if anyones obliging.

As someone else already mentioned, most berlingo's/partner's have 2 seats. Personally I would go for dispatch/expert/scudo, slightly bigger van, bigger payloads, and the difference in running costs would be tiny. 2.0 is the one to go for, if you can, and is actually slightly more economical than the 1.6!.

I've got 61plate 2.0 hdi expert, this is the second one I've had in 6 years, I have a 500l tank fitted when it's full ,I can't feel the weight when driving, one thing I have noticed on both the vans I've had is when the tank is full and van is cold I get slight clutch judder, other than than that I find this model van suits my requirements.
Forgot to say fuel consumption around town whilst cleaning 31 to the gallon

Scudo 08 plate for me

400 litre flat tank ... Still more than half the load space in rear left ..

Had no engine problem etc..

However have had an electrical problem with the windows ..

Other than that real good van IMO

Not really into all that MPG stuff ... All I know is it's a diesel 2.0 HDI .. (Means nothing to me) .. seems ok on fuel tho and pulls well with a full tank + 250ltrs worth of 25ltr barrels too on some days ...
