That's a good price and they look the part. Being steel they will loose 'heat' quicker so you need to ensure they are in a warm environment.

If you have a look at Vyair's site, they do a 4040 housing for £72.00 + delivery. It also comes with mounting brackets/straps which are extra for the s/steel and 'plastic' units.

As far as the membrane is concerned TW30XLE is supplied by an American company and the Americans always made better membranes than the Asian copies. However, it also appears that the membranes are made in China.

"AMFOR INC. Has established the membrane enterprise since 1986. With establishing the company Advanced Membrane Technology INC. In 1986, AMFOR began the membrane and spiral elements manufacturing and later entered into membrane system business. In 1997, AMFOR has established Ande Membrane Separation Technology & Engineering Co., Ltd. in Beijing with specializing in EDCoat application and home drinking water, commercial, industry membrane.

We company has a very young and active group, we are dynamic and working hard to do our best to meet our customers demands. We'd like you to trust us and join our business if it possible, and please remember that the material we used totally imported from America and the process made in China, so the price is competitive!"

Make sure it's one long pipe as some have joins which could leak. I'd stick
With the one plastic one myself !!! 👳👳👳
