Im owed 90 quid from one :o

Over what period... I'm owed £600 but that's only a week ago...
I did have one that owed £360 but sent them a solicitors letter from recommended company from this forum and received it 3 days later, after 11 weeks....

A single customer that we do between £1500 and £2500 a month for. The payment terms are 60 days from month end so the figure owed can get quite big. A good payer though.

The most I have let a domestic go to is 3x £22 = £66 and they paid within a few days of the third clean. He's a copper too!
Except for a handful I do not clean beyond the second clean before payment so £50 is usually the tops.

The most owed ever was £1,000. Never did get it.
The most owed at the mo is £280 from one custard.
The most owed in total was a couple of weeks ago, £3,000. Collected most of that, now owed about £1,200.

£90 for three cleans and not paid despite quite a few requests via text and 2 letters.
The one that annoyed me the most though was £8. It was one shop window that was in between two other shops that I did and was £2 a throw.
The bloke kicked up such a fuss when his bill got to £8 saying that I hadn't done his windows for 2 of those weeks despite me having a signed receipt by him and him offering £5 to settle the bill that I had to leave his shop otherwise I would have dragged the skinny ba**ard over his counter and shoved a copy of the Sun up where the sun don't shine.

£12,000 managed to get a £7,000 cheque after nearly waiting 7 months and still doing work for h every month as he became a friend then slowly paid the rest off, I think now he owes me Oct, Nov & December. I give h 30 days to pay so he is behind on Ovtober which he will prob pay end of this month. And I don't do as much for him so only ows me about £1,500 ish 👳👳👳

Was owed £108 from one customer this week for 4 cleans. Got it paid yesterday though. :)

€60 (about 50 quid) 3 cleans. Took one dozy cow to court for a 40 quid bill. Cost her over 350 quid in court costs in the end. Wouldn't do that again. We don't do more than two cleans without payment now.
Had an army sergeant who claimed I was damaging his "human rights" by demanding payment for two cleans, and claimed I was breaking the law in finding out what unit he was in as that was under the data protection law!!! He paid the two cleans he owed, plus about 150 quid costs too ::)roll
He asked me at one point how I found out what unit he was in. I said I typed "fat prat in 2 LSR" into Google, and his was the first name that came up. Mong.

i cant imagine cleaning a commercial job every month worth £1,500-£2,500 a pop!!
if you lose the job for whatever reason its one hell of a chunk of income to lose!
i stick to domestics mainly although i have got a few commercial jobs but nothing on dannys scale!! ;D ;D

Your right Daz that's the I lt downfall with good paying commercial jobs, you lose them not through bad work but if they close or move far out but were pretty lucky as we got a fair chunk of good paying jobs. If we lose one or to which we have we still have enough plus we pick up stuff now and then. I'm getting a new 7 storey block through a management co in April, I do the communal windows not flats they do them there selves but is cleaning the communal landings & stairs 7 floors once a week so good lil earner and a new small block up the road. We do a fair bit of cleaning to communal and wife does quite a few internal cleaning to care homes one good thing it's nice to do when it's cold or raining heavy !!! 👳👳👳

It's not a single job. Many smaller jobs but for the same company.
Losing larger contracts is always a worry, we have lost a £15k annual contract as of next April which stings, but we also picked up a £8k contract almost the next day so that softens the blow.
I know a guy that has 95% of his work for the same company, if he was to lose that he wouldn't have any income. Spreading your workload is key imo.

I understand what you mean. I had about 80% of my work from ISS when I first started in this game mate. Well paid jobs and loads of work. Before you realize it, you're really employed. I had so little time for picking up more of my own work, and if they ever paid late, I was really in the poo.
That's why I decided to get my own work, and no subby stuff. All small commercial or domestic. If I lose one or two now, no big deal, easy to replace. Better than losing a 10000 quid hospital contract with only six months warning etc.
Depnds what you want really. Some want an empire, some want a stress free life.

i have two commercial, one very 4 weeks, pays cash on the day, which is what i asked for and the second £60.00 every two months and is bacs over within the week
the first one wanted a lower price, only a £10.00 but i said fine if you pay cash on the day and we agreed
the second one is a block management company

I'm owed a massive apology from a slag who accused me (wrongly) of scratching her windows with wfp and who then called the police on me to complain that I had threatened her and got me receiving a 'don't do that again' letter from them.
This amount owing will never be paid, and therefore this biatch will ALWAYS be in my debt, and rot in hell along with it and the rest of her wretched, devil-forsaken family who will all die premature and agonising deaths.

Some woman owes me 45 quid from about 4 years ago.
she had her son telling me he was going to the police as I was threatening his mum
Also everytime I knocked her door she would cry if someone was there and then ring me up and tell me not to knock her door

She sounds unhinged.
Every now and then I notice small peculiarities within some customers I come across.
The percentage of these type of people is quite small, maybe 1% (1 in 100 customers) or less.
But some of them do exhibit strange behaviour/s.
A lot of the time it is completely harmless....... but some of them aint right in the head.
