This is the one I use http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/like/110698948682?hlpht=true&ops=true&viphx=1&lpid=95&device=c&adtype=pla&crdt=0&ff3=1&ff11=ICEP3.0.0&ff12=67&ff13=80&ff14=95&ff19=0
Works very well but not sure I would call it quiet

Hey hey flash,,
Thats quite an expensive pump there.
Is that what you use with a merlin??
If so what psi can you get out of it.
Cheers

I didn't pay that much but is was more expensive than a lot of pumps. I get 6 bar or 80psi out of mine, the membrane has lasted much longer than before I had the pump on. I wanted a pump that would shut down when my tank was full so paid extra

I bought a draper pump but didnt realise it cut out at 3 bar 50 odd psi which isnt nowhere near what a merlin needs so i believe, it is impossible to use with the draper pump as keeps cutting out when it hits 50 psi so i may as well just meep 35-40psi from tap which makes water slow and at a high tds..
What ppm are you getting before merlin and after at 80 psi matey??

That's the same pump I've got on a 4040.
Paid just under £300 from MachineMart.
And no not quiet but is a good pump.
My pressure gauge on pre-filter reads 100 psi when pump is running.

I used to get 100psi but not since I started using a water softener before the pump
