car pays for road tax. pole hose does not. ;D
-
keep a trolley jack in yer van.
-
this was in a row of 15 houses, all difficult walkways, and some 3 story, lots of awkward windows, and then I come out right at the end job and this happens! I was ready to explode.
then I came home checked my work for next week and im jam packed up until Christmas eve which means LOADSSSS OF DRINK, im now a happy man.

It doesn't look as though a wheel is on the hose, couldn't you just disconnect and pull it through?

I'd be annoyed as well. Fancy parking with one wheel on the pavement like that, and right next to a wheely bin too. I couldn;t squeeze through that tiny gap with my bucket and ladders. I'd have to risk my neck by walking in the road! ;D

But pavements are for pedestrians....not vehicles ;).
-
I see your point.. and obviously I could just disconnect my hose and pull it through, but don't tell me it has never P'DDDD you off?? especially when they could park either 1m infront or 1m behind but they choose to go bang in the middle
-
I know what you mean, trip hazards are so annoying :P
-
Better hose management springs to mind as myself I try to avoid running hoses accross roads even it it means moving the van. I think whoever parked their car like outside their house was just being funny to make a point. If it had been me I would have parked on the hose just for the crack. ;D
-
It was a street with 15 jobs... Dow you expect me to do one side reel in 100m of hose move onto the otherside and unreel everything again? ;D
-
Yes :)
Let’s just say if a kid or adult cyclist or moped/motorbike rider should happen to come off their bike because of your hose in the road then you would be in deep dodo for sure. Not to mention ppl tripping over your hose on public foot paths.

Thats what safety signs are for?
If people dont fall off on a 3inch speedbump how do they fall over a 1/2 inch hose?? Come on!
Fair enough people walking and tripping but thats our job we cant help that, we hust have to follow the safety guidelines and use signs

Someone parked on my mates hose, halfway in the hose and they disappeared. he ended up cutting it lol, doh, hands over eyes

yes we know its duty...typical bloody cyclist ;D
always says road tax on my reminder :)
-
It's vehicle tax ;D
-
It is our duty to minimise the risk to all members of the public be it foot traffic or road users. Just because you can't be arsed to move your van is no excuse if someone made a claim against you. ;D
