Thought I would do a vid using the Aqua tap,
my dads the one who has been using it every day
we have aqua adapters, remote button, taps for hose ect,
but the Aqua tap is what he has decided to use.
Hes only been cleaning for a few weeks and thought he'd be
the best one to film using it ;D

Nice to see someone clean the windows properly unlike some on utube who make a hash of things by trying to impress viewers with speed minus the attention to cleaning without leaving spots behind by washing soffitts and air vents at the same time ;D

useless videos, we can't see anything! sorry
-
Ben what were you looking to see? The video's clearly let's you see how easy the AquaTap is to use. You can hear the pump start after contact with the window, and you can hear the pump stop just before the brush leaves the glass to move to the next window. There are other videos on YouTube that shows the AquaTap actually turning, but these particular videos are there to show you it in use, and cleaning windows. It shows you that the user is not doing anything different than he normally does and is still operating a valve to turn the water on and off, which is the advantage of the AquaTap. His hands don't leave the pole, and his eyes don't leave the glass. It's nearly just as easy to stop and start the water as it would be if he was controlling it with his mind. Very good I thought.

Can't you do a proper video showing your product?

Tell me what you want to see and I will try and do one. I had nothing to do with these video's but thought it was a good effort. Problem is if you do a close up of the tap then you can't see what the operator is doing, and if you see what the operator is doing you can't see the tap is doing.

You are taking the mick are you not?
He cleaned the glass properly, Yes.
Window NO!

??? ::)roll
What do you want to see, it starts and stops water flow, it is just to show
it being used.
Might be useless to you but not to me as now I know how to up load vids to youtube ;)

It wasn't a demo on how to clean windows.

Lets not get into a debate about what should and what should not be cleaned.
I remember a video I had on here years ago ended up the largest post at the time running to very many pages. Someone has done a practical video to show how a new tool works, and not how a window should or should not be cleaned.

It doesn't show cleaning windows, but it shows how the AquaTap works.

is it really as easy as this ??? seems a no brainer not to have it fitted (or is there something im missing)

Much better, thanks Peter ;)

looks better than than the aquadapter imo.. does it weigh much?, does it effect the rigidity of a pole?
-
I can't compare it with the AquaDapter as I have not used one. I can compare with my Autobrush though which it replaces, and it is much better than that.
It weighs 75g and to compare a standard angle joint is about 55g.
It doesn't affect the rigidity of the pole when its on.
-
Looks very good Peter but I have the following questions:
when say cleaning conservatory roofs including frames etc also guttering, fascia and soffits would it not keep turning the flow of water off when using the wfp brush at different angles?
also how would it work if using a pivot angle adaptor on the brush stock?
-
It's not ideal for pivoting angle joints although I might be able to do something about it in the future. As far as turning off accidentally, if you look at one of the videos above you will see it does that on one occasion, but it takes less than a second with no effort to turn it back on again. It's a case of getting used to using it like all tools. Most of the initial feedback is it can turn on and off when you don't want it to, but after a day or two the problem seems to disappear, and users wouldn't be without it.
-
Thanks Peter...will give it a miss for the time being unless you want to send me one to trial as a lot of my work is adhoc exterior property deep cleans so would be a good test for the aquatap.

I use a Resi Neck with a swivel that would drive me absolutely nuts!!!!!!!!!
-
I think it's still a great concept though for a fixed head brush :)
-
Thanks Smurf, I am sure it will be good enough to persuade a few swivel neck people to change back to fixed. ::)roll. I take it you don't use a swivel on the high stuff over second level?
-

I'd agree with that, for those that use this kind of thing it looks very good. ;)
-
I'm sure it will Peter & correct ;)

I can see a face-full of water coming my way when sliding the pole back into the van :o
Certainly looks better than the brush thingy from years ago that you had to smack against the wall.
-
Myself I don't leave the hoses under pressure when putting the poles back in my van so would not be an issues for me.

Dave I liked to think of it more of a nudge than a smack :D and your right it is much better.
You won't get a face full of water even if you turn the pole, as the brush needs to be held still at the same time as the pole is turned. Even if you wanted to soak yourself in the face it would be very difficult to do so.

I use a swivel brush on 5 storey windows. Had to use a different pole on Tuesday with a long reach fixed gooseneck and it was horrible not being able to swivel the brush as it's so much more awkward without one and slower. Quite surprised how bendy the SLX Extreme 44ft is fully extended cleaning windows above bay windows. Extreme pole ok for normal high work but no where near as rigid as the modular SL 2 from 44 ft upwards.
-
Ive seen it for sale in window cleaning warehouse still not on your website i see...
but where do we buy the adapters from for the gardiner carbon goseneck? and do you have any pictures of it
-
I will post some pictures tomorrow Dave.
I am trying to get a page on my site up and running, hopefully I will have it done soon.
-
Ok Dave I never managed to post the picture as I didn't realise they had to be uploaded first to a server. I have the picture though, and if you text me on 07751964450 I will text them right back to you.
-
Hi Peter, my phone doesn't accept picture messages it should do but doesn't seem to work. Could you email them to me at voi-p@hotmail.co.uk
Thanks

Dave I sent you a small video, the other part just goes into the pole and held with your clamp. The part you see I. The video is also held with a No 1 clamp.
