Hi lads... its been a while since ive been on.
Just want to see what you would suggest i do in this situation i find myself.
I have a commercial contract with a hospital for about a year now and all was good, turned up on agreed dates, done cleans, invoiced for works done and then receive payment.
Now the office were I hand in my invoice there is a new woman working there now and i just happened to recognise her and she is the daughter of another WC firm.
Now only since she has been there I have been called back to the job twice of complaints some windows were not cleaned properly and I have returned and asked which was not clean and on both occasions job was done 100%
Also I have had to chase up on the previous last 2 payments were before i was paid always within 2 or 3 days.
The way its starting to look is the new girl wants daddy on the job and is maybe trying to get me of the job or am i being paranoid?
I explained when first quoting that I stand over all work done and will reclean straight away if anything not done 100% first time around and now i start to have a few issues.
Dont know what way to tackle this tbh

that's not easy ,as when it next goes to tender she will probably tell her dad your price.
all you can really do is walk the site when you have finished next time ,and bring the situation to her managers attention.just say openly that you know xxxx dad who runs a window cleaning business himself.

The hospital must have a proper complaints procedure for contractors and sub contractors. My first port of call would be the person who you originally dealt with and ask them about your concerns about the woman and about the complaints which in terms of her job, who her father is, and the job you do, could be a conflict of interest.
It may be worth pointing out to the person in authority, or the person who you dealt with to get the contract, that the woman concerned has a father who runs another w/c company, who may (or may not be) sniffing around, and that may be why there are complaints.
Sometimes speaking to the right person in these situations can squash a problem before it takes a foot hold.
It also might be that the complaints have nothing to do with the woman what so ever.

sorry mate . but you are running on borrowed time . unless speaking to your competitor face to face , stating you wouldn't be happy if he ends up with the contract ....

My mate cleaned a care home for 20 years until they got a new receptionist whose husband ran his own windowcleaning business. Then he lost it, and saw the bloke cleaning it a month later. Bummer.

Oh sorry you wanted advice.
I would try and go higher up the management system at the hospital, and have a word with them, or. If you dont need the money, then walk away!
