Post by: dave0123 on December 08, 2013, 08:27:48 pm
Needing some new pole hose! wondering if anyone has used the new "all season" pole hose from gardiners yet? is it good stuff?

Supposed to be great for all year round.

To get the best from this new hose right from the start it is best to let it 'relax' from its tight factory coils first. If possible coil it in very large loose coils and leave overnight before using. Even better leave it run out in a straight line over night.

Looking forward to your videos  :)

hi alex
is it that soft stuff thats a right pain in the ..... to get in the john guest fittings.i have some yellow hose like that from you and its always popping out the john guest fitting because its to soft, then my sleeves get all wet when I'm doing high windows because it dribbles down the inside of the pole.

This new 'All-Season' pole hose is brand new so it will not be the same as the soft type you are currently using. I am using this new hose with push-fittings and all is working well (cold water) with no leaks.

To cure the issue on your current hose you can fit these stem-to-barb adapters wherever the hose connects to a push-fitting and it will completely cure any tendency to pop out: http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/John-Guest-8mm-stem-to-6mm-Barb-PM250806E.html

Alex, are you going to sell lengths longer than 30m, after the trial? I currently use Aqua-dapters red pole hose as my main hose on my reel; 50m. Don't really want a join in the hose.

You can buy a 100meters already. It's on the site :)
