recently the flow of water from my RO drops down to a trickle at around 10 - 11 pm at night onwards.
the pressure gauge on my RO drops from 45 to 35.
Anyone know why this could be?
It started happening after I fitted new membranes, but I don't know if its sheer coincidence?

Water is thicker at colder temps?? So production will drop?

Thought this was gonna be a thread on prostrate trouble.

pureH2o- It could be that, but it seems to me that its more related to the time of day than the actual temperature!

Ha ha, dirtydarren, I keep an IBC tank under the bed!

I know water companies reduce pressure at night to prevent pipes cracking in freezing conditions. BUT I thought they stopped doing that's years ago.
-
You will also notice it does this in middle of winter when we have frosts and snow :)

Yeah, I expect it in freezing weather, but its been quite mild at night here last week.
I did wonder if its something to do with the water company dropping the pressure for some reason...

If you have any leaks in your area they will deffo turn the pressure down at night. Trying to hit waste targets and all that.

The pressure seems to drop here as well at about the same time.
The best time of day for my ro, which may sound an odd thing to post, seems to be between about 5pm and 9pm.
