Title: Most Efficient RO water meter
Post by: LBWCS on December 07, 2013, 04:51:21 pm
Might have to change to a water meter real soon ( no choice) and currently use a merlin RO. 300ish ppm down to 20ppm so happy with that at the moment, but it wastes loads of water.  What is everbodys opinion on the most efficient RO inc waste water? Or any other suggestions like using a booster pump, catching waste water etc. I need aorund 1200 l of pure water a week but this may be going to get more in the next year or so.

As far as i know 40/40 is the most efficient. I believe if you plumb the waste from the first 40/40 into a second 40/40 then you really do save some money. Filters don't last as long probably on the second RO but i think the costs of filters would out weigh the costs of water on a meter.
