Title: Do you think this will ever sell?
Post by: supernova77 on December 06, 2013, 09:36:49 pm
Hi All

Take a look at this round for sale:

https://www.dropbox.com/s/dg1v830kalrl73t/Photo%2006-12-2013%2021%2024%2042.png

I enquired about it - but got a reply saying that he won't sell to a WFP window cleaner as all the work is done traditionally.

I would say that this leaves him with a very small market to sell to - what do you think?

Andy

As a potential buyer , to be told that the sale would not go ahead because of my cleaning method says it all !

If someone had all the funds, im sure they would sell.

£2000 a week with the van and equipment chucked in surely is worth thinking about?

When someone says 1300 - 2000 a weak its usually the lower mark lol

That's my point though.  How many trad only window cleaners are there around with £65k to spend?

If a WFP window cleaner waved £65000 in front of him, my money would be on him selling. He prob hasent been taught/shown how good the results are with WFP.

That's two guys aswell.

Wonder how quick it would be with 1 WFP the tops and other doing ground floor.

Should cut a third of the time i think.

Do u think you will ever Wfp more Jonny , say the houses that have good ground floor windows for Wfp and are fairly high .
Or is it a case of managing your water ?

I have starred to Wfp more downstairs now just because it's easier to finish them off as my pole is out anyway .

I can see you getting a T300 transit soon !

Quite possibly mate.

At the minute it's more water conservation really. I WFP all ground floor that are Georgian or smaller panes.

I just like going out and not having to refill my tank.

Only got a baby caddy though. Would like a 650 tank.

If it works for you then carry on .
Caddy a top van , good payload

Put new ladder rack on my newer can , 2 bars and roller , I bet there's 50kg there that we don't add up in our calculations , plus ladder
Weigh a tonne them ladder racks , it's only 2 bars and a roller

I reckon it's a load of BS.

£1300 - £2 000 per week trad and just 3 people and one van? £430 to £660 per person per week. No price increase for 5 years?

Yeah.

Sure.

600 customers, average house has at least 5 upstairs windows, so for each house you are going up and down a ladder 10 times.

So going up and down a ladder 2000 times a week isn't hard graft?

I would hate to work with you.lol

I wonder if the business is vat registered? If it's not that might explain the lack of recent price increases.

He's come to the end of the road hasn't he?

2 staff + himself to pay; loads of gutter and roof cleans and only making 1300-2000 a week. If not VAT reg then it's the lower end of that scale. No price increase for 5 years so that will trim the herd when he puts the prices up in January.

He'll be lucky to get 1300 x 5, plus the van!
