Peeps..
This debate has probably already been done but I can't find it..
Sir Alex of St Austell does not recommend whacking an aquadapter on the end of a beautifully engineered extreme pole..
Has anyone done it? Did it work? was it a disaster or the best thing you ever did?
or does one simply run the risk of eternal damnation burning in the fires of hell just for thinking about it?
Whats the verdict..
-
Its like buying a ferrari and towing a caravan with it imo ;D
Ask Daz he uses an extreme with A/D
-
Had one on my extreme for ages.....
Personally I wouldn't be without a AD on there you don't notice the extra weight after a while I think the extremes are too light and the AD xl compliments it nicely ;)
-
Works fine but IF the pole snapped doubt you would have any comeback :)
-
ruins the pole,
-
Guilty as charged! for me tho as others have said, the advantages of the AD far outweigh the weight issue (which on the XL version is minimal) I tried the Extreme without the AD and didn't find any difference on standard windows, the only time I felt any difference was on windows over consevatories or in confined spaces, which would constitute about 1% of my work, so for me the AD stays on as it makes my working day a lot easier.

Ich verstehe dass nicht!

Hi guys
just to inform you all, new aqua dapter in the next week or so.
also some of my new poles will be the lightest on the Market.
I thought it was time to make a complete pole set up to complement each other. Looked at these forums and realised need to meet demands. So will be happy to launch my new products.

It's possible.
It's not all about weight though.
It's about rigidity and strength combined with weight.

Used the AD for years, not anymore, as it restricts the water flow, ad becomes sticky, spring breaks, etc. Gone back to a simple valve on the pole and it is so much simpler. If a valve leaks it's just a minute to replace it. If the AD snaps a spring then it's palava trying to get the spring replaced. Given up on AD's :(

[/quote I have learned a lot over the 3 years since I produced aqua dapter. New model has a bigger outlet pipe, the little trigger mechanism is now removable so it can be cleaned. And springs are easy to fit less than a minute, theres a quick vid on my website on how to fit it.
the springs last 45000 before they brake, that's the equivalent of approx 4 months use, so I supply 2 spare springs with aqua dapter.

it takes 2 mins to replace the spring if it does snap.only had one snap in the few years ive been using them.
aqua daptors just keep getting better and better.lighter, more compact and dead easy to fit.
i have worked without them but it slows me down.its just a really fast and efficient way of controlling water flow.
-
the trigger that used to use a small spring and now uses a bent metal bit is a very good change imo, not too much to break that you cant fix now i really like them
-
Nice .
A new stronger and lighter aqua adaptor , can't wait for mine to come.
I like the extra weight the aqua adaptor gives me on my slx as I think it aids with cleaning extra pressure on the glass .
I will never work without a AD .
IF I ever buy a extreame pole , if clamps get better , maybe tempted I would still put a AD onto it .

I didn't get 2 spare springs when I ordered my Aquadapter (2 weeks ago) and there's no mention of it on your website Steve?
No mention on your website of one spring lasting approximately 4 months either?
Maybe that should be made clearer in the advertising.
I ordered 2 spare springs at the time of my order as spares..... but paid for them!

If your looking to know how to fit one there is a good video on youtube which will help.
Its titled.....How to convert an extreme pole into a Brodex Hydra alloy.
