Didn't I notice you saying on another thread you planned to make it a 2man setup?, if so, you may wish you had gone for the 850kg version. On another forum I pointed out the potential problem re payload to someone who had fitted a 350l proprietary system in a citroen nemo (610kg payload), he took it to a weighbridge and found that he couldn't legally take the 2nd man! :(

Nice van.  :)
Although I would agree that the 850kg payload version would of been a better option + an extra 15 bhp, especially for 2 men.

I presumed this van, would easily take a 400ltr system?

400L of water

Tank and frame

Battery

Passenger and driver.

That's probably overweight.

I have my doubts, even as a 1 man set up you would struggle. 2 men (say 170kg) + 400kg of water is 570kg already, you only have 625 to play with. Say 20kg for the tank itself, same again for your leisure battery, 5kg for your pump. That is already overloaded and you don't have any window cleaning equipment in there yet, or any means of securing the tank. Oh, and don't forget your fuel, that is part of your 'payload' too.

Add anything else that didn't come as factory base spec also like ply lining, roof bars etc.

James, if you already have the system then dont fill the tank to the top. If you work on your own then you wont need 400 lts of water! Ed

For goodness sake go and get a doblo. 736kg payload. 56/59 plate twin side doors, bigger area in the back.

I've told everyone until I'm "gold" in the face I ran mine for five years with one plus 400; then two men plus 400 plus a 200L trailer for six months.

Still got it with 200 plus guttervac and genny, it runs like a dream 1.3 suzuki diesel engine and 2000kg GVW/ can use it at car speeds.

i still think 400L in a doblo will be overweight with all your other gear as well.there must be loads and loads of us driving to work first thing overloaded. ::)roll

Oopssss !!! James as said in your other thread you should have gone for a traffic or vauxhalls vivaro especially if you want a 2 man set up. Then you may take a little bit of gardening on maybe where then you need a lil space for mower later down the road. Could of got a decent one for 7K but all the best with it 👳👳👳
