Protect Nano from World of Clean is as good as anything.

I liked the one with eye of newt and rats tongues, although mixing it in a big cauldron was a bit messy.
So i use chemspec stain shield concentrate

this is something that you can't to know for sure.
This need long term testing. Few protectors on the same carpet/upholstery.
There is also question on my mind, woc is not cheaper then others, so why their protector is so cheap?
-
Radek, you just don't like World of Clean.. full stop,... so no matter who says anything good about their products, you will come on here and try to rubbish them...
Therefore your comments on ~WOC are completely irrelevant IMHO
-
Tried a few over the years - Chemspec stain shield is my current weapon of choice
-
Chemspec Stainshield is the latest Polymer technology. Scotchguard is just far too expensive to be economical in use.
-
Hector, becouse i had bad experience with woc i does not mean i am going to be negative on everything that is made by woc. I am using pn myself and most of their chemicals. Trust me, my opinions are not becouse me and nick.
-
Chemspec professional is my choice every time
-
I'm happy with protect nano from solutions :)

Very well put Hector

Is there a general one you could recommend for carpets and upholstery?
Can't say I do a lot of stainguarding myself, but I usually use the Carpet protector from craftex ( water based) and the upholstery protector(solvent based)
would be nice though just to have a general one on board for both.
Stu
-
protect nano does both but I'm sure there are probably others too
-
I use Protect Nano from Solutions and am very happy with it. ;D
-
I used to use fluroseal many moons ago, but protect nano is as good as anything else out there, even if it is cheap.. :P
How ya doing Pete?? hope you and Mrs Pete are good.
;D

I have never used protect nano , some of Nicks products are very good but not all

simon, the problem is that i am not a lover, if this is kind of fetish you like guys then this is not my problem.
Sorry that i do not like their machines, their way of doing business, their way they treat people, and only like some of their chemicals.
Realy sorry ::)roll

I have been using Protect nano... like most water based protectors i find they are hit or miss especially when used on 100% synthetic material.
The thing is... how many of us return to the customers home after 24 hours to see if the protector has cured and is offering some form of water repellency ?

Any chance of remotely hypnotising Radek into a Solutions lover ;D
Doubt it.. :'( :'(
but I could help him to relax and chill out a bit, and not to take life and this forum so seriously.....
Then again.... ;D
-
also ... do we know the content percentage of fluoropolymers to dispersant in the product we choose ... one brand could be 1% another could 10%

To me if a product is good the manufactures will put their reputation behind it.
Chemspec used to offer a warrantee programme that said if a stain didn't come out they would replace the carpet.
To me this is proof the stuff is good and why when it came to protecting my own suite I used stain shield

That's interesting.

I have just purchased some of this...

I am currently testing this on a variety of synthetic fibres...

Chemspec used to be one of the few suppliers of protectors, that gave a point of sale leaflet that you could buy with the product and give to customers after applying protectors to materials. What it says on the leaflet is what it does.

Any protector is better than no protector!
In my view its a personal preference.
But as Russ has pointed out who does go and see if the stuff has cured and is working the next day.
Its a good idea to test a drop from every 5ltrs you get on a piece of kitchen towel to see for yourselves before you
apply it.
Its a good demo for the customer to see the repellent properties on kitchen towel, doing this sells it every time for me!
And NO! Simon don't go spraying the loo roll !!!!!!!!!!!
loo roll is made to throw away silly ;D
-
I prefer Scotchgard protector .. I know it is very expensive, but it is efficient. (I use it twice a year)
-
David how do you the kitchen roll test ?

Angelo & Rosa
Why?
they are such a let down for your customers.
they dont top them up expect them to work one, two, five years later as if they had just been put down. and who are they going to blame when that stain does not come out?
Offer free spotters and one free fresh spillage emergence call out for a really small price valid for set period as an upsell, and you will get more value in repeat business. setting up this in the right way will make you more money backend than up front. we just set up a membership for our customers and manage it so the small amount charged to each will benefit all our customers.
each time you face the customer for a refill or callout you have a chance to sell. and if you manage the membership right you get paid for that visit from the membership fund.
Locking people into you, lowers your costs and in doing so improve bottom line.
-
Or, protect the carpet which is what the customer has asked for, make a gazillion times more than free this and free that and provide a service that we can charge for. Free free free = poor carpet cleaner, charge charge charge = Shaun
-
Pete we have warned you several times about drinking power burst ;D
