Do most modern mercedes vans (post 1999) use disc brakes on the front? I am looking to upgrade/buy a new van. Thanks in advance

Disc brakes on the front and drums on the rear I would of thought.

Thanks for that.

Hi Dave
Brakes - no problem.
Rust - big problem.
Injectors - even bigger problem just like new Renault Trafic and variants.

Thank you Bruce. My topic is a 2 edged sword.
I cannot believe the pointless topics discussed in depth on here at the moment. Sorry just having one of those moments.
hope you and yours are keeping well.
Oliver had a little look at the chinese water heater. I think he may be splashing the cash!!

;D ;D ;D and I get drawn into them.
He said he was going to see you today. There was a Richard Jagger (Smithie) on here who said they were junk and didn't last. Everyone else seems to get good service from them. For £80 you can't complain from what I see.

Rear drums?!
Thought they stopped doing drum brakes when British leyland stopped manufacturing!
Genuinely didn't know you could still get drum brakes.

Citroen Relay, Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato series up to 2006 have front discs and rear drums.
