Title: would you take on sub contract work?
Post by: hank jr on November 29, 2013, 10:06:04 am
Hi all, i am not a carpet cleaner at all, never cleaned a carpet in my life!

But i have a window cleaning business and i am wondering how to go about maybe generating work for a local carpet cleaning business from my customers. What do you think would be a fair cut for me and the carpet cleaner?

I look forward to your responses

Would Paying for leads be better? i mean on 10% i could easily be ripped off if i give the lead out to a cleaner and he / she goes and cleans all carpets in house and tells me they only cleaned 1 carpet in small room....

im not trying to be greedy, just fair....

I do this for dry cleaners and it's a trust thing. Not worth messing about as it could lead to loss of future work.

What part of Wirral are you talking as I'm just over in liverpool.

good call Phil. Maybe it would be in your interest to get in touch with your local window cleaners? after all, us window cleaners do develop a kind of friendship over the years and often they take my recommendations on painters, roofers, gardeners....as i see them every 3- 4 weeks all year round, year after year. offer them 10 - 15% and see what happens....

Like has been said its a trust thing and if someone takes the pee they will lose out in the long run for being too greedy, but they just can't help it.
