Title: Unscrewing tight hose cuffs
Post by: heritagecleaning on November 27, 2013, 08:58:36 pm
I can't get my hose cuff off! The ones of my 50' hose just unscrew but I just tried to do this on one of my spare 25 footers and it just won't budge  >:(

Put it in a vice??

If all else fails cut the vac pipe at the end of the cuff then use a Stanley knife and cut through the bit left on the threads.

One of my 25 1.5" was glued on, that might be the problem

if its glued on it might not be threaded, so you might need a new one if you cut the old one off.

Why are you wanting to get it off Owen?

I want to put a 1.5 - 2 expander cuff on Mark. I'm fed up with using my 50 foot on all jobs when I don't need it but my 25 foot hoses have the standard 1.5 cuffs on them - Sppedster needs a 2".

Yep some of them are Siliconed on you'll need to cut the hose at the cuff.

Won't the 1 1/2 cuff fit inside the 2 " connector?
