it yet
do you have any reviews for the masses :D
-
Doesn't look like they've taken over the world, hardly any word about them on any fora, think the Foghead got a bit ahead of himself again, it'll prob go the way of his brush and clampless pole etc.

y wont he appear on film

Review on Monday when its put through it paces.
I hate this time of year when the pole hose picks up grit and deposits it inside my pole. I carry a cloth in my pocket and wipe it clean quite regularily, but I would tollerate an outside pole hose if it meant not having to continually do this.
I used a Teleplus and fishing pole for a few years, so have got first hand experience of an outside hose. I prefer the internal way TBH.

Sorry to disappoint the doubters they are on sale and had some fantastic reviews on Facebook. Some great water saving and time saving comments. Every pole should have one comments. With one of the guys facts and figures who before now used a tap on the bottom of his pole proves for him the AquaTap pays for itself in 6 hours of use. My question is can you afford not to have one?:)
-
well where can you buy one? i haven't seen them anywhere? not even on your own website i think

Expensive water if it pays for it self in 6 hours.
It'll be more interesting when someone from this forum reviews it.
-
The water didn't come into the cost, it was the half an hour saved on a 3 hour job. The water saved allows the user to work the extra 1 hour time saved over a working period of 6 hours, which in turn pays for the AquaTap. He not only done the job 1/2 an hour faster, he also saved enough water to do extra work in that half hour if he wanted.
Not my figures, but no reason to disbelieve them.
-
is that the only place you can get them from Jet systems ???

How does the ability to stop & start water make a job faster? Personally I'd leave the water running all the time if speed was my main concern?!
-
I never stop the water flow, as I use such a low flow rate I don't see the point.
But for those that do stop the flow,by stopping does it increase pressure so once turned on again it would throw a jet of water at the window ?
-
yes

yes i find it does build the pressure up, when i turn the tap back on i get an increased burst of water for about 3-4 seconds, sometimes i find it handy if im rinsing the frames down

That was one example of a real review from a real window cleaner. Not a trialist but someone who bought it. OK some people may not save time, but surely saving water allows you to do more work with the water you have, without having on some occasions to drive about to get more water, so more work can be done. I have came across people who work on a reduced flow so as not so much water is wasted while they keep the water running, but these people are wasting time on the glass.
Everyone works differently, flow rates, turning water on off etc. No doubt other reviews and opinions will be along soon. The ultimate set up I would say is a good flow of water (less time on each window) with the ability to easily turn it off moving from window to window, so no water wasted.
You shouldn't get a burst of water when you turn the tap on if your settings are right. When you dead end the water the pump shouldn't run building up pressure in the pipes before the controller or pump switches the pump off.
They should be available in many more places by the end of next week. Doug, Lee, Richard, and the Window Cleaning Warehouse have them just now.
-
Digital I used to have build up of pressure.
Analogue I don't get any. As the pressure setting is way more accurate.
-
The thing that worries me is that on/off motion not a natural movement in cleaning and therefore the tap would be switching on and off all the time.I would be happy to buy once someone has used it for a time so therefore, I am out.

Fair enough. Thanks for explaining.

Fair enough James I wouldn't buy anything until I was sure it was going to be a benifit. I would also wait for the reviews.
I would say though that you can't get any more natural. When you turn on your kitchen tap you don't have to think twice about it you just do it. Usings the AquaTap is easier than using your kitchen tap as you have to move your hand to the lever, with the AquaTap your hand is already on the lever which is the pole, you just turn it 1/8th of a turn. Your hands don't have to leave the pole, and your eyes don't have to move from where your looking at the top of the pole. Telepathy is the only way I can think of easier, but I don't think that is going to happen soon:)

Peter what about the discount you offered to loyal members of a certain other forum?
;)
Then that way we can all review it and let people know. :)

Yes Jonny that still stands. I did say on there if anyone wanted to take me up on it they were to give me a ring. I was hoping to have a buy it now button on my site by now but the guy doing it for me has not had the time. He is supposed to be working on it this weekend.

Sounds great. Thanks peter.
I'm definitely wanting to try one.
I can see advantages of it compared to my aquadapter.
Shorter length on the end of my pole which I like the idea of, and should last a long time.

must admit finding the £40.00 ish price a little hard to swallow
-
Bobplum, I can't really help you out there only to say that everything costs a fortune nowadays. It's less than the price of a meal out for two, or a night out on the town, an hour or so's earnings. At least it is going to pay for itself in a very short time, the speed of which depends on how you work. It is only £29.99 for those who are VAT registered and can go along and pick one up, and its tax deductible:). It will be a lot easier when you see what advantages it gives to others.
-
I wont be using one as I use a swivel BUT.... I have to say to the tight gits- £40 sounds quite reasonable if this is a device that will help you in any way!!!
-
peter you sorted anything for the people using goose necks yet? or is that something thats coming along in future?
-
Yes Dave I have adapters for that.
Peter.

Both for the AquaTaps, just me for the adapters at the moment to make sure people get the right ones.

What's so wrong about being tight? £40 isn't a lot - true, but before I spend my £40 I want to get an idea if I'm wasting money or not.
This device may help me and there again, it may not. As it's my money I'll be spending, I'll wait untill others on here have given their views. I'll go by how they rate the £40 spent and Peter, sorry, I don't mean to sound rude but I like to know the temperature of the water before I go swimming.
In the past I've wasted money on things that either don't work as well as promised or don't work at all or have turned out to be very expensive when compared to the equally satisfactory DIY equivalent. In other words, I've fallen for the promise and the advertising.

I agree in one sense but at the end of the day it's a little device that turns water on & off by twisting the pole. To me it looks a complete PITA but if it did appeal to me I wouldn't hesitate in buying one for £40, a £600 pole maybe!

Ross you are quite right and I would rather people bought them after it had been recommended by someone else, rather than just me. There is a lot of useless junk on the market these days with too many companies trying to make things as cheaply as they possible can. I chose to use a local company at probably a far greater expense, but I have much more control over the quality and any modifications that may be needed in the future.
It's all very well something being guaranteed for a year but how many times do you actually return things under guarantee that break prematurely? I know I don't, I just write it off as junk and don't buy it again. That's something I don't want to happen.

Are there any good videos, showing how it works in principle, how it's fitted, how it performs in practice, the benefits and some specifications of weight etc? I would be interested if it's better than an Aqua-Daptor.

I need to do some videos, I will do shortly. The weight is 75 grams. It just screws on to the thread on top of the pole, and the angle joint screwed on top.

This weekend eh? In Foggy's foggy mind only, in reality you're prob looking at April 2014 at least
