Title: Pump problem.
Post by: alticry on November 27, 2013, 08:13:54 pm
Shurflo 100psi pure freedom trolley pump . Pressure comes and goes , takes an age to get going as if there is air in the system . Have pump off and cleaned diaphragm , still not right . Iced up in cold weather last week and put it on then off quickly as I realised it was iced up . Could this be where the problem arose ? Anyone any ideas to fix it before I purchase a new one . Help !

You could always fit non return valves on hoses so you're not waiting around for water if it backflows ???

Take the pressure swich into maplins and match it with it, i bought one exacly the same but it had one extra terminal on(wich i snapped off as it isnt needed) im sure there will be a perfect match.
Failing that it could be your strainer before the pump blocked.
Battery low, or a air lock
