Am starting to collect again as people owe WELL TO MUCH. any advise would be appreciated as I want good results collecting.

only you know when its best has you should know your customers "habits"

but agree with richard.....direct debits or standing orders

i collect on a friday or monday between 6pm-730pm.works for me.

usually leave the house just after 6 back about 8.
after 6 gives them time to get in from work ect.

Don't collect, just leave a SAE, or get them to you an online payment options.

Already do this. Lil buggers don't comply. Most pay it eventually.

tried the SAE had to go back to some doors to collect. got the usual oh i forgot to post it. or got it  weeks later.

quite a few of my customers pay online,standing orders,SAE but collecting on the compact estate work is good for cashflow. :)

Kids are watching tv or games.

Mum is on FB

Door bell goes.

After 6.30pm

Husband answers.

I still collect but only if they owe 3 or more cleans, customers are used to this now which makes the few collects that i do a month worth it, many of my old customers dont use the net and they like the old fashioned approach.
Im stupid to myself as am not that strict on payment from customers and i just let it mount up but still it all comes to me in the end..

Never ever collect. Bank transfer, BACS or cheques or for the old biddies cash ;D
