hi pure H20......just watched your video on conservatory roof cleaning, how did you pre-treat the roof & what brush are you using?

Hi
Depending on what i am cleaning off depends on what chemical we use.
99% of fascia cleaning/roof cleaning is UBIK 2000 diluted to around 1:4 1:5
I use a pump up sprayer (ebay or home base £5 - £20) The mixuture is sprayed over the roof and then allowed to soak in.
Then just clean off.
Depending on the job, i might mix things up. Like using fairy washing up liquid mixed with iso alcohol or maybe even a solvent.
The brush was an Gardiner Dual Trim Super lite sill brush fitted with low flow fan jets :)

Mr Pure, is UBIK 2000 comparable to Virosol?
-
I have had bad experiences with Virosol tbh. I have had staining on plastic and glass in the past.
TBH the difference between the two is nothing. I have tried Virosol, loads of times and it doesn't seem to have the bite that UBIK does.
The thing is UBIK 2000 containes SODIUM HYDROXIDE which is the main "bite"
Virsol is good on things like brake dust and general dirt.
For window cleaning and fascia/roof cleaning. UBIK 2000 eats algae :)

hot water,much easier ;)

I think hot water would be easier for sure, i do plan to covert at least one van before the end of the year. But it may have to be my dads :(
The other thing to take note is that UBIK also contains a solvent (BUTOXYPROPAN) so if i have a really really bad clean. I will basically mix in solvent with UBIK. But you do have to know what you are doing lol :)

This roof was cleaned with Virsol, then ubik. In the end i used a mixture of solvents and and UBIK
Customer was happy, but the discolouration was epic :)

Last picture as i am sure i am boring people to death.
This year we experimented with a couple of products. It was acid based and took the shine off, but this is in the experimental stage.
We are trying out several products over xmas, at the customers request. So far i am happy, but long way to go :)

Thanks for your reply, appreciated ;)
