Title: Cheap shurflo bakpack? will it work?
Post by: Richy L on March 14, 2006, 09:31:48 pm
If I buy the SHURflo back pack, will it connect to a normal hosepipe, with all the normal connections, or will they be different?

Its just the backpack I found here seems cheap!

Hi

A lot of folks round here have bought that back pack from the same guy and it's been fine. It just needs a little altering to do WFP cleaning.  Folks like Tosh will be along shortly to help you out. It is a very good deal if you can wait a few days for it.

Cheers

Andrew

What do you mean by this?
Is there much to be done?

Not much needs doing at all from what I have seen.

Nothing at all on the technical side. Its just altering the delivery hose to accept a pole fitting. Ive seen loads of pics of it done but just cant find them right now :(

What I do know is that it is a very good deal for the backpack and many here have used this supplier.

I have one of those. If you unscrew the spray lance the thread takes a standard, garden tap, Hozelock connector. Fit two female connectors on a piece of hose about 6 ins long.
Click on of them onto the garden tap connector you have just fitted. You can then fit a reducer connector into the other one. [Wintecs do them] This will fit into your microbore pole hose. dead easy, and a great piece of kit. Dai

HI everyone,

I am putting my one up for sale, it has only been used for 20 mins per month on one house. I have since dropped the house, so i dont need the backpack now.

Many Thanks
