Title: Pricing Gutter clean
Post by: Barry W on November 22, 2013, 09:41:49 pm
Got to price a job, it's 40 ft high and about 500 ft around the building.

I've never done this work and have no gear for it but they want me to quote for twice a year so I don't mind spending a few quid on a system as I've got the window contract for the next 3 years.
I have a price using a MEWP. I was thinking around £500+vat using a gutter vac to do it.

The job is in Buckinghamshire and a prestige building

Thanks for that, decent money then.

But I'll buy a system of skyvac and go for more work.

I always say 1.5 times the metres of gutter on the building. But in this case 1.75 plus equipment hire. There is bound to be issues! Also its a pain in the arse to find a company that can work up to that height so they may just go with you. Have you checked the space between the gutter and the roof tiles? If it is to small you will not be able to use a gutter vac and that may be a nightmare for you.

Good luck

Around £700 I imagine, like has been said there will be aggro. Plus you need to be able to see what you're doing. Camera system? Do you have a pic of the place?
