I have a P/W with a water cooled Kubuto sat on my drive, the pump has seized so I can't turn over the engine, I have undone the drain plug under the radiator and drained the radiator, will this have also allowed the water in the water pump to drain out also? or will water be sat in it waiting to freeze and knacker my engine

There will still be some water in pump and block but not much, why not fill it back up with anti freeze
-
That's why I mentioned I couldn't turn over the engine, would filling it with antifreeze get the antifreeze Into the block and water pump?
-
If you take out thermostat and fill from there as well that will fill the block up

Undo the four pump bolts, drop the pump off and do the job properly. However if you've drained the rad then most engines will be fine with that - if you have an airline you will move most of the residual water. It may have had antifreeze in it anyway.
