Remove the gear box from a Honda GX390
Having some problems trying to remove it I have undone the four bolts holding it to the engine.
I can turn the gearbox round and round but cannot separate from the engine.
I have tried a crowbar but it will not shift, is it just a case of giving it some more force.
The machine's a Karcher hds1000 BE
Many thanks in advance

Some can be a right b***ard mate!
You'll end up grabbing a lump hammer and smashing it off. Done by many. Then buy another.

Mark,
Drop me an email so I have your address, as the guy who services mine, managed to get mine off, without any damage, I can email you his number, he may be able to talk you through it

I've found that it's the same as removing cogs of the shaft, unless you apply pressure evenly from all sides you just cause it to mis-align & jam.
Get someone to help you and lever it from both sides. You need the gearbox to slide off perfectly inline with the shaft.

Spray through the pry slot with some plus gas - apply some gentle heat, seals are cheaper than a gearbox. A pair of matched prybars help to get parallel force. If you get stuck I'm in Dover
