I dont get this but some of you more experienced pure water peeps might
My wife bought a brand new iron cause the old one got furred up and old an all that
and out of the back of my mind i told her to use pure in; the new one , might stop it from furring up therefore lasting longer
but first time she filled it up with pure it started to burn on the hot plate and leave a mark on the bottom
I was speechless i didnt expect that
so after letting it cool and using it for another ironing session and more pure it then left white water marks
So now she uses tap water and its absolutely fine
can any one explain this
cause I dunno what to say

Aren't you supposed to fill a new iron up with water heat it up, then pour that first lot of water out and fill up again before using it?
Try pure water again now, since she has used tap water. I bet it will be OK now.
