that means nothing if the roads are unpassable , unless you mean it will separate the tractor drivers from the berlingos ;D

Lol.
In all the time I've been driving I've never come across a road that's impassible.
If the worst comes to the worst I'll go out in the car and trad the ground floor.
I'd be very surprised if it gets to that though.

It's going to be the worstest winter since July.
Be prepared.

Same old predictions every year.
I would like to know if these forecasters that "predict" all this shocking record breaking weather ever get reprimanded when they get it so wrong.
I doubt they do.
My forecast for this winter is as follows:
"It's gonna be cold, most probably sub zero at times, with an extremely high possibility of ice and snow within the period of the next 3 months."
There you go.......I have proven any numpty can do it and at least some of what I predicted will happen. ::)roll

Does anybody believe this rubbish? It seems to be the only way the express can sell a paper these days.

The 'forecaster' used by Exacta weather doesn't exist and never has done. In fact, Exacta as a company doesn't exist either except as a website. It's all hype to help sell the Daily Garbage Express.
-
Ha, the Exacta Weather website wants you to PAY for their 'predictions'.
Think I might set one up, I mean, meteorology? How hard can that be?

I'd agree in the main, however 2 winters ago I was giving my girlfriend a lift to work in the van and went up a main street on a hill with an off camber corner (there had been no fresh snow for a week so I thought it a pretty safe route) and started to wheel spin and slide sideways towards parked cars. It took all my concentration to get myself out of colliding with parked cars. With the weight of the van and the water tank I could not even dab the brakes without sliding. This was in Brighton ffs ! hardly out in the sticks.
I wasn't the only vehicle, even a couple of taxis got caught out whilst I was there.
There were plenty of parked cars all over town with dents and scrapes after that cold spell. That road that day was impassable :D
Lesson learnt though, I will stick to flatter main roads, carry less water and maybe let a bit of air out of the tyres next time ;)
