Title: simple van heater?
Post by: steve123 on November 12, 2013, 09:56:13 am
Although naked flames are not a great idea in a vehicle. this idea may be of use to anyone who does not have access to an electrical outlet and needs to make sure things dont freeze up.

I  like it, maybe not for the van but could come in useful somewhere.

thanks gonna give it a go in my attic room (always a bit chilly and drafty up there), not sure about the van though  :-\ with the candles burn time of 4 hours I would have to get up twice in the night  :D
Its the same principle as a thermal mass heater only on a smaller scale ,
cheers

You'll lose the heat as soon as it hits the cold roof of the van unless it's insulated.
Need a fan to help it circulate.
