When using a Cimex how many prespray first? Is it just on mingers or is it worth a prespray and dwell first on every job?
-
Only done a few jobs with encap and a Cimex I have used Releasit Punch Pre spray then used the releasit DS2.I used Dynamall without a pre spray.

Thank you - anyone fitted the bigger wheel kit or got other 10inch wheels from something else to fit?

The wheels are the same as those fitted to the HOS Orbot.
It contains 2 roller bearing wheels with semi pneumatic tyres and an axle.
We have tried to source other wheels for the task with the standard axle but they dont have the same tyres. Because they have a certain element of 'bounce' to them this is what makes the maneuverability up stairs, over door thresholds and loading ramps so much easier.

Thanks Jamie, didnt get chance today - will try again tomm hopefully!
Just so I can test my Cimex for now, could I cut down a Dry Fusion bonnet into 3 little ones to use to have a play on my poly low pile carpet?

Bit of a waste of a dry fusion bonnet. Why not try 3 slices of toast. Warburtons Thick Toastie sliced should do it. Defo not whole meal though it may distort the pile too much it's for natural fibres.

Would 3 crumpets do the same?
-
They would be perfect. Use them dimpled side down to the carpet. Their profile allows fibres to get inside holes for true all side fibre cleaning.
They cant be used with enzyme based products however or on ribbed/corded carpet or needlepunch tiles.

Is there any advantage to buttering them first?
I was thinking of doing some testing and soaking them in soya sauce, I heard it has some great cleaning properties
-
It depends on the water hardness. We find that Soy Sauce works best with Welsh water.
-
I've also heard that pure highland springwater is good to use with soya sauce

Thanks Russ. I did see them and I know they are rated well but I need the smaller size which they haven't got. I bought the Cimex used and just wanted something I could try on it this weekend to test it works OK before I order some new kit for it. It has got some red scrub pads so I'll just try it with them.
