Title: insurance for self drive mewp.

Hi Guys
Has anyone recently got insurance for a self drive mewp? Got one hired next week and need to sort the insurance. {company I am hiring from don't offer it}. Cheers.

i would start with your current insurer who does your public liabillity, it should be just added to your current policy,

I have public liability as we all do, so it's just for the actual machine Jim.

You should be covered by your existing policy for the use.

The hirer should include theft insurance etc. in their hire price, or at least offer it as an extra. If not go elsewhere.
