Title: Limbo
Post by: 8weekly on November 06, 2013, 11:46:14 am
I hate days like this. I went out this morning in light rain but by the end of the first job it was chucking it down. As soon as I got in the van, the rain then eased so I start the next job. The heavens open again, but I finish just as it eases off.. So I start the next one and so it goes on. Eventually I get drenched and go home, but no sooner do I sit down with a coffee than it stops raining.

So now I am sat here thinking, shall I go out?  :-\

I get these feelings of guilt about not working when I could be. Grr..

It's great though when that happens. I have a 11 yo son and on days during the holidays when I have him, I love the rain as it doesn't feel quite so bad having a day off.

Hi 8weekly
I use to have this same conflict.
Now when I have made the decision not to work - don't question it for the rest of the day - just get on and enjoy it doing whatever makes you happy!!!!
That day will never come back if you haven't enjoyed the day you've lost it forever and when you get to the end of your life you will just have a long list of unhappy / conflicted days.
(Modified for typo!!)

dont be half hearted when it comes to working!!EITHER WORK OR DONT WORK!!even if its hissing it down ill carry on working if im out.if its in for the day then i finish a bit earlier re doubling my efforts the next day.

if you cant be bothered going out that day, have the day off AND ENJOY it!!dont feel guilty about it unless you ve been skiving all week!! ;D

you only get out what you put in when you work for yourself.

best wishes to you all
