we do external window clenaing as part of an extra when doing a full house deep clean. so far we've either opened the windows and reach out from inside the property, or if needed used a ladder.
this often takes a good chunk of time, esp when you get difficult windows which are hard to reach so we either struggle to clean from inside for ages or then get the ladder out for just 1 window corner.
i'm looking to improve this. we don't do window cleaning with every job, in fact it's more like once every week/2 weeks, so not often enough to spend loads of money, but perhaps we could push it a little more if we had a system that wasn't as time consuming as the current one so it may increase.
hoping for some suggestions for tools we could get. i've seen the backpacks, but prices vary massively and i've seen people say they need to be used every day else the battery goes.
any suggestions?

I agree with Matthew.
Drive through your local high street and see how many WCers there are.
Stop and chat to one you like the look of.
Build up a relationship with him/them.
In time the relationship will become mutually symbiotic.

Hi Jack, A simple solution to cleaning the outsides of high windows without having to spend a lot of money on equipment, is to use a 3x2mtr or 5x2mtr extension pole fitted with a flat mop frame with Velcro strips, stick a damp little waffle glass cloth and proceed to clean the window, then take off the damp cloth and stick on a dry little waffle glass cloth to polish off for a streak free finish, little waffle glass cloths will stick perfect to the Velcro strips which allows you perfect control to clean exterior windows at height.

Best tool to get is a window cleaner.

That is a great solution to offer, or is it that you don't have one for Jack.

Sub out for a proper job. Let an experienced WC do it. We ARE specialists don't you know :D

Get a back pack reach and wash system and find a local window cleaner to get water from, pay for water or simply get a bag of resin once in a while in return. Always have few 25lt canisters filled up to use when needed. This way you will clean windows + frames when you do house clean and you will enjoy cleaning them.

batteries on trolley systems don't go if they're not used much. don't worry about that in my opinion
