At Christmas time, the week or two lead up to Christmas do you dress up as Santa and if so do you do this for tips or fun ?
-
I don't. ;D
My wife's stepfather who's in his early 70's does for charity out in Tenerife - quite incongruous really - no snow down in the cities and towns; sunbathing on the beach and he dresses as Santa.
He has a full head of white hair and a beard you could keep a badger in. (not really but a full white beard nevertheless.)
He is quite "rotund", wears glasses and really looks the part.
He's short enough to be a garden gnome type helper but the white beard and full head of hair just makes him favourite for Santa.

Wow a real saving on costume rental lol.... I had two subby working for me several years ago ( good friends of mine) they dressed as Santa every year and increased there pay by collecting 100's in Christmas tips. I have never tried this myself...... here are other comments that have been made today on this subject:

I think it screams desperation its obvious why people do it...for the tips.
