Leisure battery. The local caravan store sell these two sizes, I have read on here 80 amp is about right but will the 75 be powerful enough? I need one this weekend so ordering is not an option
-
Depends what you want it for.
If you're just running a normal 100psi pump, they drain about 5 amps per hour. So therefore a 70AH battery would last...14 hours of use before needing charged.
An 80AH battery will last...16 hrs
Both are powerful enough, its just how long they can run before needing charged.

Ahh ok cheers mate 75 will do then, its for a 100 psi pump. cant wait to finally ditch the backpack
-
a 75amp hour battery wouldn't last 14 hours, it would be too flat to to do anything before then!
get the biggest you can.
-
I have two 75's one for each reel. I charge each one every other day and it works very well. On the old van I bought a much bigger battery, a Trojan 150 and it would go for three or four days between charges.

I work about 8 hours a day everyday, will the 70 be up to the job?
-
Just get the biggest you can afford like 100amp or 120amp hour the bigger the battery the longer it was last.. or least it will need charging each day.
Last thing you want to do is get home every night with a discharged battery and forgot to charge it then your flat in the morning!

biggest is best

Haven't used one for a couple of years now.

biggest is best
That's not technically true.
I don't fully understand why but an auto-electrician mate of mine explained.
100ah is better if you're charging your battery from a battery charger.
If you're running an auto charger the 75 would be better.
That's what he told me and it has certainly been true in my case.

Having just gone from an 88 to a 75 AH battery i would say go for the 100
less issues!

Defo 100 unless your wired into the van ie split relay our 100 amp only lasts 4 hrs without the van charging it (2 man set-up)
