Post by: gaza on March 11, 2006, 10:38:41 pm
Earlier on I went into my local motor shop and low and behold there was an 12v electric heater fan for £15 and a fan for summer.
It fits  in to a fAg lighter socket, just as winters finishing I may have found next years solution to frozen pumps.

HAS ANYONE USED ONE OF THESE,SOURCED WERE I CAN BUY THEM IN BULK,5000
AT A TIME FROM CHINA,STRAIT FROM THE FACTORY.

Gaza

You have just solved the frozen pump problem, so no more waiting for it to unfreeze.

Instead we now have to wait while we recharge the vans battery. ;D

you could use an elec mains one and pay £100s of pounds for the flex to keep the van warm all day ;D ha! ha! ha! even Im laughing at that one and I wrote it.

Hey!!

I DO use a mains electric fan heater to keep my van frost free :o

I bought a cheap fan heater with a frost stat setting on it and stick it in the back of the van when there is a risk of frost.
It only switches on for long enough to keep the back of the van above freezing so it isn't an expensive thing to do.
It's worked a treat too ;)
And hasn't made any noticable difference to the electric bill either.
