Title: telescopic sack trolly
Post by: windolene on March 11, 2006, 08:45:28 pm
Hi,

Now that I have a backpack the next item on the list is a telescopic trolly. I have considered some of the trolly's that have been posted on here for about £25-£30, but have decided to spend a tad more for a better trolly. Does anyone know who else sells this type of trolly just so I can compare prices?

I just bought an aluminium one at a market in derby for £20.
Its in machine mart for nearly £60.
It wieghs 4 kgs and is suppose to be good for carrying 90kgs.
I will be useing it for backs with a matabi backpack next week.
I will report how good or bad it is.

Yes i`ve got one in red, folds up very neat and can be laid down with a bigger tank on,and i use it in the back of the van connected to my tank and so i can take it  indoors in frosty weather to protect the pump and charge the battery,Gaz  ;D

BONJOUR GAZ !

I have a 60 L tank on mine and im starting to dislike it already , been thinking about a ramp of some sort for the van , if the tank is any more than half full at the end of a job its a real pain getting it back in the van !

I suspected i was heading for something like that?   ;) Are there not any connectors etc that become vulnerable?

Not really,it does`nt really get wet but i have thought about housing it just to protect it from getting knocked, but it is usually in the van 90% of the time working the tank in there,Gaz ;)

Heres a couple of pics with the new mini reel,it`s not yet fitted properly, but thats where it will be and im going to be replacing the hose with microbore,Gaz  ;)

Thats coming along nicely Gaz. Pity nobody makes a smaller reel cause the microbore gets lost on a big reel. Oh forgot Omni do one. Why didnt you fit the reel on the front ? Have you worked out where to put pole carriers ? I found vertical ones to be handy for dropping poles in and out. Maybe leave some space for folding warning signs behind the container.

That really is a belter Gaz. I've never seen a truck with wheels so far back before.
Plenty of space for your battery on there. I have used waste pipe to make my pole carriers, one each side. They are held on with exhaust clamps, the U shaped ones.
Just fit something in the bottom of them to stop the pole going right through. They work a treat. Dai

I have thought about adding a pole carrier but i use a trigger on my pole so not so straight forward but im always thinking,so it won`t be long before i come up with something,by the way have you seen the other pics ,it`s the first topic at the top of the first page Diy wfp trolley pics,Gaz ;)

Its looking good Gaz.

I dont know if you have priced up M/Bore hose but if you are only wanting 30mtrs the web link below is the cheapest I have found. They dont do any lengths longer then 30 mtrs. Bit if you spend £30.00 they deliver it for free, so its worth buying 2 reels of it.

You want safety yellow, 6.3mm ID, 11.5mmOD.
