That seems really cheap, especially for your neck of the woods?
Is there much competition round your way?
Not to get into a willy waving thread-genuinely interested.
I've got a mate looking to expand his trad work not far from you.

Only experience will teach you how long a job takes, and how much people are prepared to pay.
And mostly ignore the prices being quoted on here ;D

A forum can help with other things, but with pricing forget it !
-
Just look at the posts asking for advice on pricing, then watch all the arguments ::)roll
-
or better still, just pick the highest price and try that?
-
All very helpfull answers cheers guys :)
Glad i did some research the prices i had in mind were far too cheap!!
-
at the end of the day it depends on what money you are happy with If a job takes 4hours some people will be happy with £200 and others £100. Even at the lower fig your still earning more than some highly trained proffesions

hi Darren £3 a metre is not that cheap, ie last lot of gutters I cleared out was 17 metres @£3 a metre took me 40 minutes.
I prefer to charge by the metre, as I don't need to go and give a quote before hand and i have done myself previously by not looking properly
