Buy a pump.
For £50-ish, it will pay for itself in time saved within a week.

I was thinking of going three feet high, but now when I look at the tank I think its best on the ground, i will get a pump.

The ibc will only level out to the level in the van tank as well ;)

I finished setting up IBC at around 4pm yesterday afternoon, got up this morning and its over half full.
TDS is 015, my question is how long will this water stay at tds 015 ?
will the water go off in other words.

Ian_Giles used to fill his tank up using gravity only; it was very quick. He used quite a wide bore transfer hose.
Maybe took ten minutes to fill up a 650 tank?
