so when you guys screwed the fitting into the gas inlet what tape did you use on the thread?i have loads of ptfe tape but i want to use the proper stuff to ensure a good tight fit with no leaks.ive heard ptfe tape is not up to the job!what do plumbers use?

Daz I've got a brass nipple which I push the gas pipe on and use jubilee clip, ptfe tape would be fine, you worrying to much and roofers always carrying gas around in back of vans so wouldn't worry about that either m8

maybe i am danny!but i want to make sure everythings right as ive never done anything like this before!im not the best DIY er in the world thats why im a window cleaner!! ;D ;D
but ill have a go at anything! ;) :)

check for leaks with soapy water or else

Lol !!! You'll be fine Daz & enjoy doing it, just look at it as a big kettle there to hot ya water up !!! Don't forget it takes about 5 - 10 mins to ce thru warm
