Title: Gardiner CLX27 Extension
Post by: Mr.G on October 22, 2013, 08:03:10 pm
Has anyone used a CLX27 with the extension section? I suppuse that makes it a CLX 31 or something. Are they ok at that length?

Just got one (sec7# 30ftish) yesterday but havent tried it yet, prob take a clx 27 to say 30/1ft ish. I got it for my SLX18, as i already have new clx sections 5#/6# (22ft/27ft). From what few 2nd floor jobs i have, ill just whack the 3 clx sections onto my slx 18 making it say 30ft, so its top half SLX and bottom CLX.

I have used a clx 31 as you would call it. Was quite a floppy banana indeed. But was ok to use, used far far far worse!!!!

I bought one but sold it..
Very very hard work at 30ft and above (bending as you like) not worth the money sorry Alex  :(

Now the slx is different gravy all together, it's nice and firm at 30ft + you can apply nice cleaning pressure without energy being lost in the centre of the pole

Oh well, its only for very occasional use, so as long as it's usable...

I could resort to my old 31 foot brodex, but the thought of manouvering it at that height is quite worrying

I bought one a while ago and I think the clamp has been glued on a bit cock-eyed coz it is really stiff in operation - I thought it would ease off with use but no such luck!  :o

I'm not sure if you've already contacted us directly about this but could you drop me an email on alex@agardiner.co.uk and we can get this sorted.

I completely agree.  The CLX Extension #7 has been designed as an economical way of extending the CLX27 for that odd job that needs the extra reach.  If planning at working at 30ft on a regular basis then an SLX30 would be a far more suitable pole.

Just to update this post-
I did buy one, and used it yesterday
It worked fine,
as people have said, it is kinda bendy, but for the odd time when the CLX27 won't quite reach, its more than good enough
so I'd recommend it for residential cleaners with the odd high window to do.
