i use this controller from Gardiners

http://www.gardinerpolesystems.co.uk/acatalog/Easy-Analogue-Liquid-Logic----trade-----Pump-Flow-Controller--LIQUIDLOGIC_ANALOG.html

its good for using hot, as you can easily adjust the DE shut off, ( which will help you ) ;D
ive had it for over 2 years with no problems at all.
hope this helps

I use these on our latest van and are very good ( but bare in mind they are re badged spring controllers so any brand with this configuration will be the same )

For cold use we run between 6 and 7 with the pressure set at 5. May change when we start using hot.

All the spring controllers are excellent IMO

Everyones settings will vary depending on what hose diameter and length of hose they are using plus height of pole. Winter and Summer settings will also differ as well as jet types.

By jets are you referring to fan jets?  If so we run at between 65 and 70 on the older controllers and between 6 and 7 on the easy controllers for maintance cleans

I used a remote years ago, didn't like it much, not always getting the on/off signal
And when it did work (a good 90% of the time) you don't get instant stop, you get a slowing down of flow to stop 4 or 5 seconds and then the same to start up again

I much prefer the physical instant on off of a tap and aquadaptor

alot of people put these remote in the van , i was thinking about putting the ariel on the outside like a radio Ariel would be , surely you will get a better signal

Maybe, but you'll not get the instant stop/start that you get with a physical tap
