Hi , when I clean a house then go to the next customer soon as I turn the tap on the water shots out like a jet , so there's a lot of built up pressure is this normal oh then it slows right down after a few seconds .and it sometimes blows the hose off there's that much built up pressure .

If your hose is blowing off connections then your flow is way to high are you using a flow controller seems odd that connections are blowing off . Mike

I have a purefreedom controller its 3 years old , its when I turn the hose off for 5 min then turn it back theres so much built up pressure
-
Put a new connector on once they start coming off they tend to keep doing it, are you taking about Hose lock connector??
The softer the hose you use the more Pressure build up as more room for expansion in your hose.
-
especially when you start pumping hot water through ;)
-
Ok will get one today , I use 8 mm yellow hose thinking about going to thermobore hose
-
if i leave the tap on the end of the hose and turn the controller on it works great , if i turn tap on the off and then turn the controller on it dont work to much pressure , so off to buy one of those one stop remote controller
-
If you buy a liquid logic flow controller from Gardiners it shuts the pump i assume all the latest flow controllers are the same .
As they are made by the same company of Ian Sheppard . Mike
-
yes if i turn the tap off my pump is still trying to pump water so pressure build up will that stop that then
-
The pressure switch may be set at 100 psi hence why it runs on and on until it cuts off.. Most flow controllers can be adjusted!!!
-
From what i understand yes it will detect a DE then shut the pump down rather than pulsing as it does now , I had a Purefreedom trolley and after 3 yrs the controller went as no matter what setting i put the analouge controller on the pump would run flat out .
So your issues could be the start off the controller developing problems hard to say as i am no expert . Mike
-
so shall i buy a new controller or a one stop remote controller
-
Have you tried adjusting the pressure setting ??
-
how do you do that please

In part this is linked to your other post re controller calibration.
The higher the calibration the longer the control takes to DE the pump when flow is stopped. This means that the is a few moments when the pump is pushing against the restriction building up pressure in the hose line. As you turn the tap on again this built up pressure results in a spurt of water as the pressure equalises again. Run the auto cal plus check there are no blockages that will increase pressure. Also rather than turning off your tap and leaving the control and pump in DE as you move customer to customer this creates high pressure. switch off the control this will allow the water in the pole line to run off meaning no pressure sitting in the system. Once you get to the next customer switch on the control again it will only take a couple seconds for the line to re pressurise
