Hi
Is it safe to clean panels when switched on?
Is it safe to use Virosol on panels
Roughly how much should I charge per panel
There is 150 panels on the flat roof of a 4 storey build, Access and parking no problem but must be done on a Saturday
Many Thanks

Yes (you can't actually turn a panel off)
Not sure but no need
Between 50p & £5
Charge your hourly rate bud + a bit as it's a weekend.
Each panel shouldn't take more than a minute or so

for the average windy is there any money in solar panels
sorry steve solar your not average ;D

I advertise that I clean them but had hardly any enquiries.
Only go this job because I know someone that works at the company.

I would say £3.50 a panel but how long do you think it take you.
I had to do a college solar panel a few months ago and charged them £3.50 a panel and was 150 panel too.
However if its a mate you obv don't charge the 'Weekend Extra' which is what I do for any work which is needed to be done at Weekend or Evenings
Weekend is £40 fee
Evenings is £60 fee

Turn them off

You can't turn them off. They are potentially lethal if they have been badly installed. A friend of mine had a shock through his SLX, probably from a crimped wire where the shielding had been breached. Search You Tube to see how seriously firefighters take the! Also see my post in "FAO Solar Steve".
I have cleaned them in the past like most WC's, but won't be touching them now till I get the right PPE.
All the best
