read quite a bit on here about these chemicals, what are you boys and girls using ?
is fusion clean a good move or are there better alternatives?
gary
-
IMO fusion clean doesn't cut through soiling as good as release it which ds2 is my favourite, surround is another alternative, mick Halliday I'm sure has tried most different makes he may be able to answer more.

Nope not me, Geoff is the big user of encapulation, although I did a big office on Saturday with dynamall with good results.
-
Dynamall gets right on your throat, used it for the first time last Friday.
-
I use a few of them ... all have slightly different features and offer different results.
My favourite has to be Releaseit Hydrox... here it is used wit a cimex on some oily showroom carpets.
The oils were presprayed using Power burst

christ you work quick!!!
where do i get release it?
is it better than dynamall
gary

Hi Gary
Releaseit can be purchased from CSUK
Here is the products i use and why...
Dynamal... great product for encapping and it leaves the area smelling nice
Releaseit Hydrox... use this on tea and coffeee stained commercial carpets... really brightens colours too
Releaseit DS2... twice the dilution of Hydrox, also has a fabric protector added... use this for maintenance cleans

Do arco still make their encap?
There's also amtech who make one.

Did a big office job a while ago which provided the perfect opportunity to try out some encap products, dynamall and Surround. They both did an reasonable job (dynamall smells awful and had the client complaining about) we then mixed some SPM and Fibre Shampoo and guess what, the best result of the three of them, especially in front of desks and a fraction of the cost. ;)

Simon - what machine/method were you using?
-
Simon What was the dilution of spm in the Fibre shampoo. Doing some beige pub chairs tomorrow going to give it ago.

Shaun, not sure if arco make an encap !! perhaps you are refering to Emhance , made by diversy if so yes they do.
I am just waiting to get the nod for cleaning the head offices of supermarket chain and will take the opportunity to actualy try enhance/ dynamal/ surround and realisit side by side.
I wouldbe interested im Simons mixture ratio to give it a try :) I have in the past mixed fibre shampoo along with others when i found i needed a little more foam .

Sorry mick it was Geoff I meant must be the hull connection, what about chemspecs formula 161? Is that any goog?

We were using a medium speed rotary with a pad on it.
SPM mixed as usual, 1 Prochem size scoop per litre of hot water. Fibre shampoo mixed with just enough to make a foam as the pad goes over the carpet. Fibre shampoo crystallises around the soil just like an encap product but because few guy's seem to hang around to vacuum the carpet when it dries there is no point in leaving more product in the carpet than you have to.
You can also add Oxibrite to SPM to get the effect of the more expensive encap products. ;)

I wouldn't be using that method on pub chairs :o
-
Simon - i think the encap products need more agitation than the rotaries can produce, hence why people use the Cimex. I havent done that yet and so i do get better results from a rotary with SPM etc than with encaps just like you do, but like i say i think it maybe different with the Cimex.

Funnily enough same as Mike...did a large office area on Saturday using Dynamall for the first time.
It did the job but to my mind it smells awful.....and it made us and the few staff that were there start coughing.
-
There's also amtech who make one.
They don't manufacture it.
It is HOS Environ for use with the Orbot machine.
-
Simon I did use the fibre Shampoo on the chairs but as a dry foam, was just wondering about the SMP.
-
All the way with Dynamall... used it at the weekend on a large office complex. The canteen area was really bad. Sprayed down with Dynamall, then bonnet... came up great. Smells really nice too. Used the Fibre plus pads on my cimex... once i had finished i bunged them one by one in a bucket of water and after some dunking the dirt just fell out of them... very good!
-
Russ, on that job on the video did you rinse the Powerburst or just Cimex it after?
-
Both Dynall and Environ are good products. Environ works out about half price for 100 litres per RTU.
David
-
I agitated the powerburst in first then encapped over the top... no rinsing
-
I find it difficult to justify the expense of an encap when a higher ph micro splitter with a few good scoops of cheap oxidiser from asda or lidless does a fantastic job. I have tried probably all the encaps but keep coming back to the micro and oxi methop on commercials.
