Hi everybody.... was just wondering if there is a harder brush you can use for the floormac or oreck for really badly soiled carpets...i currently use the black one
Thanks Danny

there's green ones but you have to buy them in the usa .. they are Brilliant though it's what I use most of the time. I had my cousin send me some over as the site wont accept a British card . White nylon pads are good as well as is the activa bonnet from solutions

I have an orange one that I use on badly matted synthetic carpets.I placed a very heavy plant pot on it for 24 hours to flatten it a bit when I got it.
I wish there was something in between the black and orange brushes but I don't think there is.
I would never use on wool.

used to used the orange one, think its the toughest you can get, bed it in on some concrete first

The tan one isn't too harsh but harder than the black one.

That would be the green (that Dan has already mentioned) - or the blue brush http://www.cleanfreak.com/Qstore/p002426.htm.

We use the black ones, on all carpets (oreck) and never had any issues.

My opinion the Oreck is better. Heavier than the Floormac. Ebay good place for the Orecks when they come up. Floormacs shop around you can get them cheaper.

Gary, the floormac or similar are not a must have, you could get by without one. If you are looking for a useful lightweight rotary for domestics, you won't go wrong with numatic 332. That 17 inch monster of yours is ideal for commercial carpets.
