Yesterday I did my mates connie glass  roof just for the before and after pics..

Now this thing is about 15 years old. Its is covered in green algae. I mean covered.. Its was baked on and had all the look of a swamp monster lair.

gave it a good scoot of G101 and a bit of time to soak in .

Gave it large scrubbing action with my Gardiners sill brush,

Result fairly clean but large areas  on the roof of what I would call heavy ghosting. Looking at it its clearly baked on algae…

Im thinking give it a couple of ping wet days to soak. Get into it with strong Mix of G101. shorten the bristles on an old Vikan brush. and scrub like heck..

Any other more constructive ideas?

Jim, if nothing has taken root up there and G101 is of comparable strength to Virosol or TFR, I dont understand why it didn't come up clean the first time round.

Pictures would help

We use g101 and it's the very best of the chess out there, sometimes after years of neglect you can be left with some 'graying' on the plastics these may need physical scrubbing with Upvc cleaner or t cut or cif. Etc..

I get perfect results 99/100 cleans by doing the following - wet area to be cleaned (c/roof SFG window frame) then apply g101 at 20% strength using sprayer (try where possible to mist over area) leave for 5 to 10 mins lightly re wet an area say 2 meter sq
Then scrub with brush but with no running water the g101 froths up and after a few strokes the area is clean continue to scrub but now with running water to rinse

Ill give that a quote.. I had water running through the brush as I scrubbed..
